Thanks a lot Paulino for keeping us informed to what is happening in the SVS centennial planning. This is what all SVS alumni would like to hear. Maybe through this topic everyone will come to participate and give their comments and suggestions for a successfull Centennial celebration.

We noticed that Rev. Fr. Marcs will design the Centennial logo... wow! the best manen ti logo tayo nu maga-eb tay sya nan mangdesign pet. May we request that if the SVS centennial logo is finished, the website would like to have a copy of it so we can upload it in the website portal page.

Maybe Stela Chumacog can take care of this since she work also with the Vicariate and has time to talk to Fr. Marcs in Teng-ab. Thanks!

Hi Paulange, Dione and all,

To the Steering committe, I suggest Ms. Dione Chaokas to be a member of the Documentation/coverage team. I know she has the desire to help since prior to this discussion we had an earlier exchange about this matter. She agreed voluntarily that she will help in the photo documention on the launching this coming semestral break, likewise on the main event next year.

As mentioned earlier by one of our team, we need to update the features and photos at the PORTAL page but the Webdeveloper can only do this if there are new photos or messages to be submitted. Maybe we can solicit the President of SVS Alumni Association Foundation to give a message to be posted at the portal. We believe that Mr. Tangilag may not have an access to this website but maybe Paulino will take of it or should we need to make a formal letter of request? Asup ya mubalin mu ay matuya si President, please...thanks!

We need more participation from the global SVS alumni... cheers!

I was going over the minutes of meetings posted by Paulino then I noticed awan met nakakabil nga Documentation committee gayam? hehehe... well maybe that´s the reason why Dione volunteered in the Steering committee cause her field of interest was not mentioned. I recall that we always have the Documentation or Coverage Committee during the past celebrations, like the 75th Diamond Jubillee and CICM centennial event where mng. Ferdie Castañeda, mng. Freda and other media team volunteered in this committee. Well anyway... open met to everybody nu sino nan manglayad ay involunteer.

As for the Solicitation Committee chaired by Mng. Helen Geronilla, you can always post the solicitation letter here tapnu mafasan nan i-ib-a tako ay waday id intuna.

We really need documenters, and most especially someone who is very good in taking minutes of meeting. I have to accept I cant do all these coz of the functions given to me, plus, our Batch is incharge of the Alumni events...

Your constant upto date reports in the website has kept us informed to what is happening in the centennial planning...

There was I think a suggestion from the body during the past meetings that there is a plan to create a website exclusive for the SVS Centennial? may we want to hear from your end if this will push through? The team was informed about this and the Webdeveloper was approached about this matter. We just want to know the final decision so we can link whatever related topic we have started here.

In our 3rd meeting last Friday, August 13, the body finally agreed with the theme which is " Remembering...Revisioning...Rebonding...And Moving On..." Chair, co-chair, and members for the different working committees have been suggested. Membership to the different working committees is still open. Stela, Paulino and everyone, just like what I told Stela please check the Blog sites I gave you. From there you can choose and let the majority desides. We are here only to support and assist what the body will finally approve. Our Webdeveloper gave his assurance to help but then he can not start without anything. You need to supply the information like:
1. Message from the president of SVS Alumni Foundation Ass. or from the SVS school Administartor, Fr. John Habawel.
2. WE already have the school history and old pictures of the school but this are not enough. We need more significant events related to the SVS Centennial...
3. Photos of old (past) and present teachers and personnel
4. The list of SVS alumni Officers with photos if possible
5. We suggest the Chair of each Committe should have a picture and contact number, (for information purposes)
6. SVS Centennial logo design
7. Above all these, we need NEWS Contributors, writers, individual volunteers to feed information

For others you think is very important please spaekup your mind... share your thoughts, comments and suggestions... Ma-id maka-iyangnen sina isunga inbibinadang tako tapnu matungpal nan purpose tako! Salamat.

Stela, I think you're on the right track by citing the SLU site. Have not seen SLU site, but your explanation of it above seems applicable to the Centennial event. Since the Centennial is a special event for the school, Ryan can create a page or pages entirely for the Centennial event (including logo if desired) and linked to the SVS website. Once the Centennial celebration has come to pass, the Centennial page or pages can be archived soon after.

Yes, Dione Selly, the Centennial, being a special event of the school, will surely be exciting for all Vincentians. Perhaps much more so for those who are overseas or distant places who haven't visited SVS for years and have come to know about the event and plan on attending. For those who will be directly involved in the planning, organizing and execution of the various activities, it will be a hard but exciting and rewarding work for them in intangible terms. A part of the success of the event will be in the dissemination of correct information and this is where the SVS website, with its link to the Centennial pages, will take an important role.
Let us know through this site how everyone can assist.
